Besides communication and fault statuses, the status of input/output lines can be easily monitored through the LEDs on the modules.

Dry Contact Input/Output Modules
The modules take their energy from the loop and can be programmed to work in cause-and-effect scenarios. Within the scope of fire automation, contact monitoring inputs can be used to monitor desired peripheral systems, and relay outputs can be used to control the desired peripheral systems. The contact monitoring inputs are used to monitor external dry contact (voltage-free) relay outputs. They have both normally open and normally closed operation features. In case of a change in the contact status, the type of event that the control panel will detect can be determined by the user. The double-pole dry contact (voltage-free) relay output, capable of withstanding a maximum of 30V DC and 1A current, has normally open and normally closed contact positions. It can be configured to provide output based on the event type defined by the user. Models with SCI feature isolate the line in case of potential short-circuit situations, thanks to the built-in short-circuit isolator.
Powered Input/Output Modules
It requires an external power source of 18V – 30V DC and this source can be monitored for fault conditions. It can be programmed to work in cause-and-effect scenarios. Contact monitoring inputs are used to monitor external dry contact (voltage-free) relay outputs. They have both normally open and normally closed operation features. In case of a change in the contact status, the type of event that the control panel will detect can be determined by the user. The 24V DC 500mA sounder output can be activated as desired within the scope of fire automation. It can be configured to provide output based on the event type defined by the user.
